EII Exemption Relief

The EII Exemption Scheme supports qualifying energy-intensive businesses by reducing certain indirect electricity policy costs. Eligibility depends on the business manufacturing products in the UK within an eligible 4-digit NACE code, passing the 20% electricity intensity test, and providing evidence of electricity used in eligible production.

CCL Relief Claims

Climate Change Levy relief can reduce the levy charged on taxable energy supplies where a business qualifies. For energy-intensive businesses with a Climate Change Agreement, reduced CCL rates may be available on electricity, gas, LPG and solid fuels.

Our process

A clear process from review to relief.

Six steps, run carefully. We start with a free review and only progress when there is a credible case for relief.

  1. 01Step

    Initial review

We review the business activity, energy usage and current invoices to understand the position before any work begins.

You provide · A recent electricity bill and a short description of what you doTypical duration · Within 5 working days

  2. 02Step

    Eligibility assessment

We check the relevant scheme conditions — sector codes, electricity intensity, CCL treatment and supplier billing — against the facts of the business.

You provide · NACE / activity detail, energy and production dataTypical duration · 1–2 weeks

  3. 03Step

    Evidence collection

We identify what is needed — bills, MPANs, accounts, production data, meter information and supplier records — and build the evidence pack.

You provide · Access to bills, meter data and production recordsTypical duration · 2–4 weeks

  4. 04Step

    Application or claim preparation

We prepare the relevant documentation and calculations, drafted to scheme requirements and reviewed before anything is submitted on your behalf.

You provide · Sign-off on the prepared materialsTypical duration · 1–2 weeks

  5. 05Step

    Supplier or authority liaison

We support the next steps — correspondence, certification and supplier action — so the relief is applied correctly rather than left in a drawer.

You provide · A point of contact and access where requiredTypical duration · Variable

  6. 06Step

    Ongoing review

We help monitor changes in entitlement, suppliers, meters or site activity, so the relief keeps reflecting what the business is actually doing.

You provide · Notice of material changes to the businessTypical duration · At least annually
